Fall is a busy time around our home. The weather here is beautiful and it is a popular time for family and friends to visit. Not to mention the many festivals and activities that surround the season. This past weekend, we certainly took advantage of all those elements.
My parents (a.k.a. Grams and Papa) were here for a week-long visit. The girls wore them slick but I know they enjoyed every minute of it. We celebrated Gabe's birthday while they were here. Luckily, the house didn't burn down with the amount of candles on his cake (shhh!).
The rest of our weekend included an impromptu BBQ with friends, playdate with Mia's bestie, the local fall festival, funnel cakes, a bonfire birthday party, eating lots of s'mores and a short, but sweet visit from Grandma B. We wound down the weekend cuddled up our new family room (post coming soon!) with our traditional October line-up of family friendly Halloween movies. Ichabod Crane and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a favorite.
My favorite picture from the weekend was this one of Mia with her bestie, Sylvie. It is so heartwarming watching these two together. The love they have for each other is so sweet.
Our weekend was action packed and we loved every minute. We are happiest when we are spending time with the people we care about most. The fun doesn't end here. This week, my brother and his family are coming in for a long weekend visit. that is going to be a blast! Stay tuned!
